Monique Alexander in Canada for Taboo Naughty but Nice Sex Show This Weekend

If you’re after a signed photo of one of the stars of Pubic Enemy, then get yourself down to the convention centre.

Monique Alexander, the California porn star and exotic dancer, will be on hand to meet fans at video chain Source Adult’s booth Friday and Saturday at the Taboo Naughty but Nice Sex Show that takes over the Winnipeg Convention Centre this weekend.

The 28-year-old adult entertainment star has appeared in more than 220 films, the bulk of them hardcore, but has also appeared in a handful of mainstream productions, including an episode of the HBO series Entourage.

This weekend’s show marks her first time in Canada.

“I’m really excited to meet my Canadian fans, even though it’s going to be cold,” Alexander said.

Alexander — whose films include Debbie Does Dallas … Again, Van Stone’s Backyard Boo-B-Q and Foot Worship Christmas — has also appeared on the Fox News show Red Eye to discuss a study that showed the ineffectiveness of abstinence-only programs for teens and has taken part in debates on pornography, defending her industry.

“People have stereotypes about us and we don’t get many chances to speak out, but luckily enough I’ve had opportunities,” she said. “There’s a lot more to us than people expect. We’re not stupid people who have orgies and we’re not all drug addicts.”

Next week, Alexander said she’ll start shooting a hardcore spoof of the upcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, in which she’ll parody British pop star Victoria Beckham.

The sex show will also feature drag and burlesque performances, body painting, a latex fashion show, glamour portrait sessions and various seminars on healthy sexuality.

Weekend passes are available for $11 at the taboosexshow.com website. Day passes can be purchased for $17.75 through Ticketmaster.
